Job Description
  1. Diagnose and treat retinal disorders using clinical exams, optical coherence tomography (OCT), fluorescein angiography, and ultrasonography.
  2. Perform retinal surgeries, such as vitrectomy, scleral buckling, and laser photocoagulation for conditions like retinal detachment or macular holes.
  3. Administer intravitreal injections (e.g., anti-VEGF, steroids) for age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, and retinal vein occlusions.
  4. Monitor chronic retinal conditions, providing long-term management and vision preservation strategies.
  5. Collaborate with endocrinologists, neurologists, and general ophthalmologists to manage systemic diseases affecting the retina.
  6. Educate patients on disease progression, treatment options, and preventive care for vision-threatening conditions.
  7. Contribute to clinical research and teaching, advancing retinal imaging, drug therapies, and surgical techniques.
