A Pediatric Vision Specialist is a medical professional who diagnoses, treats, and manages eye conditions in infants, children, and adolescents. They address a range of vision problems, from routine eye exams to complex eye disorders, ensuring children's visual development is on track. These specialists may be optometrists or ophthalmologists with additional training in pediatric care.

Job Description
- Conduct comprehensive eye exams to detect vision issues in children, including nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.
- Diagnose and treat common pediatric eye conditions such as amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (crossed eyes), and eye infections.
- Prescribe corrective lenses (glasses or contact lenses) tailored to children's visual needs.
- Monitor and manage visual development in children, especially those with developmental delays or neurological disorders.
- Educate parents and caregivers on eye health, safety, and preventive care for children.
- Coordinate with schools and pediatricians for early detection and intervention of vision-related learning difficulties.
- Perform or assist in surgical procedures (for ophthalmologists) when necessary to correct structural eye problems.
