Job Description
  1. Diagnosis and Treatment – Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the colon, rectum, and anus, including hemorrhoids, anal fissures, colorectal cancer, and other gastrointestinal disorders.
  2. Surgical Procedures – Perform surgeries related to colorectal health, including but not limited to, hemorrhoidectomy, colon resections, and treatment of rectal prolapse.
  3. Screening and Prevention – Conduct screenings for colorectal cancer (e.g., colonoscopies) and provide preventive care and advice for maintaining colorectal health, including diet and lifestyle modifications.
  4. Patient Education – Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures to manage or avoid future issues with their digestive health.
  5. Minimally Invasive Treatments – Offer non-invasive or minimally invasive treatments (e.g., rubber band ligation, sclerotherapy) for conditions like hemorrhoids or anal fissures.
  6. Postoperative Care and Follow-up – Provide postoperative care and follow-up for patients who have undergone surgery, including wound care, monitoring for complications, and long-term management.
  7. Collaboration with Other Specialists – Work closely with gastroenterologists, oncologists, and general surgeons to coordinate care, particularly for complex cases such as colorectal cancer or inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD).
