Job Description
- Develop and implement hospital-wide waste management strategies in accordance with legal regulations and industry standards.
- Supervise the segregation and disposal of healthcare waste, ensuring proper handling of biohazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Monitor waste storage, transportation, and disposal procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train hospital staff on waste disposal practices, including proper labeling, storage, and handling techniques.
- Conduct regular audits to assess waste management practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare reports on waste management activities for regulatory authorities and internal management.
- Collaborate with external contractors for the transportation and disposal of medical waste, ensuring cost-effective and safe services.
