Overview
An Operating Room Assistant supports the surgical team by preparing the operating room, transporting patients, and maintaining cleanliness and equipment before, during, and after surgeries.
Job Description
- Set up and clean the operating room before and after surgical procedures.
- Transport patients to and from the operating room safely.
- Assist with patient positioning and preparation under supervision.
- Move and organize surgical instruments and supplies as needed.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning and in place before surgery begins.
- Follow strict infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment.
- Support the surgical team with non-technical tasks during operations.
