Dairy Farm Assistant

A Dairy Farm Assistant supports the daily operations of a dairy farm by assisting in the care of livestock, maintaining farm equipment, and ensuring the smooth production of milk. This role involves hands-on work with animals, routine maintenance of facilities, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards to optimize the health and productivity of the herd.

1. Assist in the milking of cows using automated or manual milking systems.
2. Feed and water livestock, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
3. Clean and maintain barns, milking parlors, and other farm facilities to uphold hygiene standards.
4. Monitor the health and well-being of animals, reporting signs of illness or distress to supervisors.
5. Assist in calving and caring for newborn calves.
6. Operate and maintain farm equipment such as tractors, feeders, and milking machines.
7. Perform minor repairs and maintenance on equipment and facilities as needed.
