Job Description
  1. Responsible for accurately processing patient invoices and claims for medical services rendered
  2. Verify patients' insurance coverage and process claims accordingly to ensure timely reimbursement
  3. Enter billing information into databases, ensuring all details are accurate and compliant with healthcare regulations
  4. Handle payments from patients and insurance companies, applying payments to outstanding balances
  5. Address patient inquiries regarding billing issues, explaining charges and resolving disputes courteously and efficiently
  6. Ensure proper medical coding is applied to services rendered to facilitate accurate billing and reimbursement
  7. Maintain adherence to HIPAA regulations and other healthcare standards to protect patient confidentiality and data integrity
