Overview
A Reproductive Surgeon is a specialist trained in performing surgical procedures to diagnose or treat conditions affecting fertility in men or women. They may come from backgrounds in gynecology, urology, or reproductive endocrinology, and are skilled in both traditional and minimally invasive surgery aimed at enhancing natural conception or supporting assisted reproductive techniques (ART).

Job Description
- Evaluate and surgically treat conditions causing infertility, such as fibroids, endometriosis, tubal blockages, uterine anomalies, or male reproductive tract obstructions.
- Perform minimally invasive procedures, including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, to diagnose and correct reproductive tract issues.
- Collaborate with fertility specialists in managing patients undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intrauterine insemination (IUI).
- Conduct male fertility surgeries, such as varicocelectomy, vasectomy reversal, or sperm retrieval (TESA, PESA) in andrologic cases.
- Manage recurrent pregnancy loss or implantation failure through surgical correction of uterine abnormalities (e.g., septum resection).
- Counsel patients on reproductive surgery outcomes, risks, fertility preservation options, and postoperative care.
- Engage in research or clinical innovation, advancing techniques in microsurgery, robotic surgery, and fertility-enhancing procedures.
