Job Description
- Draw blood samples from patients using approved methods like venipuncture or fingerstick techniques.
- Ensure accurate patient identification and proper labeling of collected specimens.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of all equipment and the phlebotomy area.
- Prepare blood samples for laboratory testing by following standard procedures and protocols.
- Communicate clearly with patients to ease anxiety and explain the procedure.
- Adhere to safety standards and infection control guidelines at all times.
- Assist with inventory management and proper disposal of biomedical waste.
