Job Description
  1. Conduct thorough preoperative assessments, evaluating liver and pancreatic function, coagulation status, and anesthesia risk.
  2. Administer tailored anesthesia plans for complex HPB procedures, adjusting for factors like cirrhosis, jaundice, or portal hypertension.
  3. Manage intraoperative monitoring and support, including advanced hemodynamic monitoring, central venous pressure (CVP), and arterial blood gases.
  4. Handle massive fluid shifts and blood loss, coordinating transfusions, fluid resuscitation, and coagulation management during major liver or pancreatic resections.
  5. Support postoperative pain management and ICU care, ensuring a safe transition from surgery to recovery with minimal complications.
  6. Work closely with HPB surgeons and critical care teams to align anesthesia strategies with surgical goals and patient conditions.
  7. Address organ-specific complications, such as hepatic encephalopathy, pancreatic leaks, or biliary sepsis, with vigilant intraoperative management.
