Their role involves both clinical care and often collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Job Description
- Diagnose primary and metastatic brain tumors using neuroimaging (MRI, CT), biopsy, and neurological evaluations.
- Formulate individualized treatment plans, incorporating surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, or a combination thereof.
- Perform or coordinate surgical interventions (if neurosurgically trained) or refer to neurosurgeons for tumor removal or biopsy.
- Manage neurologic symptoms and complications, such as seizures, cognitive impairment, or increased intracranial pressure.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and palliative care specialists.
- Monitor treatment response and tumor progression, adjusting therapies and providing long-term surveillance and follow-up.
- Educate and support patients and families, addressing prognosis, treatment goals, and quality-of-life considerations.
