Job Description
  1. Diagnose primary and metastatic brain tumors using neuroimaging (MRI, CT), biopsy, and neurological evaluations.
  2. Formulate individualized treatment plans, incorporating surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, or a combination thereof.
  3. Perform or coordinate surgical interventions (if neurosurgically trained) or refer to neurosurgeons for tumor removal or biopsy.
  4. Manage neurologic symptoms and complications, such as seizures, cognitive impairment, or increased intracranial pressure.
  5. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and palliative care specialists.
  6. Monitor treatment response and tumor progression, adjusting therapies and providing long-term surveillance and follow-up.
  7. Educate and support patients and families, addressing prognosis, treatment goals, and quality-of-life considerations.
