Job Description

- Provide expert witness testimony in court, explaining psychiatric findings in a clear, unbiased, and legally relevant manner.
- Evaluate risk of violence or reoffending, particularly in cases involving sexual offenses, homicide, or threats.
- Prepare detailed medico-legal reports, used by attorneys, judges, or parole boards to inform decisions.
- Consult with legal professionals, law enforcement, and correctional institutions on mental health-related legal issues.
- Work in diverse settings, including courts, prisons, forensic hospitals, and private practice.
