A Psychological Counselor helps individuals deal with emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges through talk therapy and structured guidance. They work in hospitals, schools, private practices, or rehabilitation centers. Their aim is to improve mental well-being and coping skills. They often deal with anxiety, depression, trauma, and interpersonal issues. Active listening and empathy are core skills in this role.

Job Description
- Conduct one-on-one or group counseling sessions.
- Develop treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Use cognitive-behavioral and other therapy techniques.
- Keep accurate records of sessions and progress.
- Refer clients to psychiatric or medical services when needed.
- Create a safe, non-judgmental environment for open communication.
- Promote mental health awareness through workshops or community outreach.
