A Vascular Sonographer, also known as a Vascular Ultrasound Technician, is responsible for using ultrasound technology to evaluate and diagnose vascular conditions in patients. They play a crucial role in detecting abnormalities such as blockages, aneurysms, or blood flow issues. The role requires proficiency in operating ultrasound machines and interpreting vascular imaging. Their work supports the diagnosis and management of diseases like deep vein thrombosis, arterial occlusion, and peripheral artery disease. The position demands a strong understanding of anatomy, patient care, and medical technology.

Job Description
- Perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound procedures to assess blood flow, arteries, and veins.
- Capture high-quality images of vascular structures to assist in diagnosing vascular diseases.
- Work closely with physicians to discuss results and help determine patient treatment plans.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of ultrasound equipment to guarantee accurate results.
- Educate patients on the ultrasound process and provide support to alleviate concerns.
- Record patient data, including images and test results, in compliance with medical standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to healthcare regulations and safety protocols.
