Job Description
- Perform musculoskeletal ultrasound exams to evaluate soft tissue structures, joints, tendons, muscles, and ligaments, helping to diagnose injuries, inflammation, and degeneration.
- Provide real-time imaging guidance for procedures such as joint injections, aspirations, and musculoskeletal biopsies, assisting clinicians with accurate and minimally invasive treatments.
- Review and analyze ultrasound images, documenting findings and preparing reports for healthcare providers, ensuring timely communication of results.
- Collaborate with orthopedic specialists, rheumatologists, and physiotherapists to ensure that ultrasound imaging supports effective patient management and treatment strategies.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment, performing routine quality control checks, ensuring proper functioning, and adhering to safety protocols.
- Educate patients about the ultrasound procedure, ensuring comfort and providing clear instructions before, during, and after the exam.
- Stay current with advancements in musculoskeletal ultrasound technology and techniques, participating in professional development opportunities to maintain expertise in the field.
