An Interventional Gastroenterologist performs minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal (GI) tract diseases. They use advanced endoscopic techniques like ERCP, EUS, and stenting. These specialists handle complex cases such as bile duct obstructions, GI bleeding, or tumors. Their work reduces the need for major surgery. They are pivotal in rapid, less invasive GI care.

Job Description
- Perform therapeutic endoscopic procedures for GI diseases.
- Diagnose and treat complex GI obstructions, tumors, or bleeding.
- Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, and radiologists.
- Interpret endoscopic and imaging findings.
- Follow up with patients to monitor post-procedural recovery.
- Train junior doctors and assist in GI emergency care.
