Job Description
- Conduct clinical or translational research on patients with acute liver failure, cirrhosis, hepatic encephalopathy, or sepsis-related liver dysfunction in ICU settings.
- Design and lead research studies, including observational studies, randomized controlled trials, and registries focused on hepatology-critical care overlap.
- Analyze clinical data to identify predictors of outcomes, organ support needs, and best practices for ICU management of liver patients.
- Collaborate with hepatologists, intensivists, transplant teams, and biostatisticians to ensure multidisciplinary relevance and rigor.
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at scientific conferences to advance evidence-based care in liver-related critical illness.
- Explore innovations in ICU care, such as liver support devices, biomarkers of liver injury, or strategies to reduce ICU mortality in hepatic patients.
- Apply for research funding and grants to support ongoing projects and contribute to institutional or global knowledge in hepatology ICU care.
