Job Description
- Examine animals to diagnose medical conditions or injuries and recommend treatment plans.
- Perform surgical procedures, including emergency surgeries, routine spay/neuter operations, and complex surgeries.
- Prescribe and administer medications, vaccines, and other treatments to promote animal health.
- Advise pet owners, farmers, or caretakers on nutrition, behavior, and preventive care for animals.
- Conduct diagnostic tests such as X-rays, ultrasounds, blood tests, and biopsies.
- Treat wounds, set fractures, and manage post-operative care for animals.
- Monitor the spread of zoonotic diseases and advise on biosecurity measures.
- Participate in animal research, wildlife conservation projects, or livestock management programs.
