Job Description
  1. Monitor and manage post-transplant patients in the ICU, ensuring stability of the newly transplanted organ and overall systemic function.
  2. Lead critical care interventions, including ventilator support, fluid management, inotropes, and renal replacement therapy as needed.
  3. Prevent and treat postoperative complications, such as graft rejection, infections, bleeding, or multi-organ dysfunction.
  4. Interpret complex diagnostics, including imaging, labs, and organ-specific markers (e.g., liver enzymes, creatinine, echocardiography).
  5. Coordinate care with transplant surgeons, anesthesiologists, infectious disease experts, and immunology teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
  6. Implement immunosuppressive protocols safely, monitoring for drug toxicities and immune-related complications.
  7. Educate ICU staff and trainees on the specific needs and protocols for managing transplant recipients in critical care settings.
