Overview
A Child Behavioral Therapist works with children and adolescents to help them manage emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges. Using evidence-based therapies like CBT, play therapy, and behavior modification, they support healthy emotional development and improve coping, social, and communication skills.

Job Description
- Assess emotional and behavioral issues in children through observation, interviews, and standardized tools.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the child’s developmental stage and specific concerns.
- Provide therapy using methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, or family therapy.
- Address issues such as anxiety, ADHD, aggression, autism spectrum disorder, trauma, and social difficulties.
- Work closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and school counselors to support consistent behavioral strategies across settings.
- Track and document progress, adjusting therapeutic approaches as needed.
- Educate families and caregivers on effective techniques to reinforce positive behavior and emotional regulation at home.
