Overview
A Behavioral Therapist is a mental health professional who helps individuals identify and change unhealthy or disruptive behavior patterns. Using evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), they work with clients to improve emotional regulation, develop coping strategies, and build healthier behaviors, often treating conditions such as anxiety, depression, autism, or ADHD.

Job Description
- Assess clients’ emotional and behavioral issues through interviews, observations, and standardized assessments.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on behavioral goals and psychological needs.
- Use evidence-based techniques like CBT, ABA, or exposure therapy to address problematic behaviors.
- Work with individuals, families, or groups to implement and reinforce positive behavior changes.
- Track progress and adjust therapy plans based on outcomes and ongoing evaluations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and caregivers to support the client’s development.
- Educate clients and families on coping strategies, emotional regulation, and behavior management techniques.
