A Palliative Care Volunteer offers emotional and physical support to terminally ill patients and their families. Job Description
- Offer companionship to patients through conversation or presence.
- Provide comfort and emotional support to both patients and families.
- Assist in non-medical tasks such as reading or light errands.
- Communicate observations to the palliative care team.
- Respect patient confidentiality and boundaries at all times.
- Attend training sessions on end-of-life care and grief support.
- Support hospice or hospital staff during patient care routines.
