Registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or a State Medical Council is mandatory.

Fellowships in subspecialties such as arthroscopy, spine surgery, joint replacement, trauma surgery, and sports medicine are highly beneficial. Certifications in advanced trauma life support and minimally invasive orthopedic surgery also enhance clinical expertise. These programs help senior residents develop specialized surgical skills and improve career opportunities.
