Certifications such as fellowships in arthroscopy, joint replacement, sports medicine, spine surgery, or trauma surgery can enhance expertise. Courses in minimally invasive orthopedic surgery, advanced trauma life support, and orthopedic rehabilitation are also helpful to improve their career.

A Junior Consultant Orthopedist should have strong diagnostic and surgical skills for managing fractures, joint disorders, and musculoskeletal injuries. Good decision-making ability, attention to detail, and knowledge of imaging techniques such as X-ray, CT, and MRI are important.
