Job Description
- Provide oral health assessments, including cleaning teeth and examining patients for signs of oral diseases such as gingivitis
- Instruct patients on proper dental hygiene techniques and demonstrate appropriate brushing and flossing methods
- Take and develop dental x rays to assist dentists in diagnosing dental problems
- Maintain patient treatment records and update medical histories
- Ensure all dental instruments are properly sterilized and maintain cleanliness of treatment rooms
- Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices through ongoing training and professional development
