Job Description
- Review and audit medical records to verify the accuracy and appropriateness of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding.

- Identify discrepancies or errors in coding and recommend necessary corrections to the medical records team.
- Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and billing staff to ensure proper documentation and coding practices.
- Stay updated with the latest changes in coding standards, healthcare laws, and compliance protocols.
- Assist in training staff on accurate coding and documentation practices to minimize billing errors.
- Prepare audit reports, maintain confidentiality of patient information, and ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations.
