Job Description
- Diagnose and treat hormonal disorders in children, including diabetes, growth disorders, thyroid dysfunction, adrenal issues, and puberty-related conditions.
- Manage pediatric diabetes, especially Type 1, with insulin therapy, education, and glucose monitoring.
- Monitor growth and development, using hormone testing and imaging to identify abnormalities.
- Provide long-term care and follow-up, often supporting patients with chronic conditions from childhood through adolescence.
- Collaborate with pediatricians and other specialists, such as nutritionists, geneticists, or psychologists, for multidisciplinary care.
- Educate families and patients about treatment plans, lifestyle adjustments, and medication adherence.
- Participate in research or teaching, especially in academic medical centers, contributing to advancements in pediatric endocrine care.
