Job Description
- Collect, prepare, and examine blood samples for analysis under the supervision of a pathologist or medical technologist.
- Perform routine and specialized hematological tests including complete blood counts, differential counts, and coagulation profiles.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, microscopes, and automated analyzers.
- Record and report test results accurately, ensuring quality control and adherence to laboratory standards.
- Follow all laboratory safety and hygiene protocols to prevent contamination and ensure patient and staff safety.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of lab supplies and prepare reagents as required.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support timely diagnosis and patient care planning.
