Overview
A Cosmetic Dermatologist is a medical doctor with specialized training in dermatology who focuses on improving the appearance of the skin, hair, and nails through non-invasive or minimally invasive procedures. Unlike general dermatologists who treat medical skin conditions, cosmetic dermatologists primarily address aesthetic concerns such as aging, pigmentation, acne scars, and more.

- Diagnose and treat aesthetic skin concerns, including melasma, scars, wrinkles, age spots, enlarged pores, and unwanted hair.
- Develop customized treatment plans based on individual skin types, goals, and concerns, often using a combination of therapies.
- Use advanced technologies, such as laser resurfacing, intense pulsed light (IPL), and radiofrequency for rejuvenation and tightening.
- Educate patients on skincare and prevention, including sun protection, anti-aging routines, and maintenance treatments.
- Stay updated on trends and innovations in aesthetic dermatology, products, and techniques through continuing education and professional development.
