Overview
An Aesthetic Medicine Practitioner is a healthcare professional—often a medical doctor (MD/DO), dentist, or nurse practitioner—who specializes in non-surgical cosmetic treatments aimed at enhancing physical appearance, improving skin quality, and promoting anti-aging. Unlike plastic surgeons or dermatologists, they focus solely on minimally invasive aesthetic procedures performed in outpatient or clinic settings.

Job Description
- Administer injectable treatments such as Botox, dermal fillers, and skin boosters to reduce wrinkles and restore volume.
- Perform non-invasive procedures, including chemical peels, microneedling, laser therapy, radiofrequency treatments, and body contouring (e.g., cryolipolysis).
- Assess patients’ aesthetic goals, create personalized treatment plans, and guide them through realistic expectations and maintenance care.
- Conduct skin and facial analyses, recommending suitable skincare regimens and cosmeceutical products.
- Stay current with new technologies and safety standards, attending aesthetic conferences and hands-on training.
- Ensure patient safety and manage complications, including adverse reactions or dissatisfaction with results.
