Job Description
  1. Collect blood donations from donors, ensuring proper screening and donor eligibility.
  2. Perform blood typing and crossmatching to ensure compatibility between blood and recipients.
  3. Manage the storage and inventory of blood products, ensuring proper labeling, freezing, and handling according to safety standards.
  4. Test blood for infectious diseases and ensure it meets safety protocols before being used in transfusions.
  5. Coordinate the distribution of blood and blood products to medical facilities as needed.
  6. Assist in preparing and administering blood transfusions to patients, ensuring proper protocols are followed.
  7. Monitor patients during transfusions and respond to any adverse reactions or complications.
  8. Maintain detailed records of blood donations, transfusion procedures, and patient reactions.
  9. Educate patients and healthcare staff about blood transfusion procedures and safety.
