Job Description
- Develop and validate molecular diagnostic assays for detecting diseases, such as cancer, genetic disorders, or infections (e.g., COVID-19, HIV).
- Perform molecular tests using techniques like PCR, RT-PCR, qPCR, next-generation sequencing (NGS), and DNA/RNA extraction.
- Analyze and interpret results from molecular tests to support clinical decision-making.
- Ensure laboratory quality control and regulatory compliance, including CLIA, CAP, or ISO standards.
- Collaborate with clinicians, pathologists, and researchers to apply test results to patient care or research.
- Stay current with emerging technologies in molecular biology and diagnostics, such as CRISPR-based testing or digital PCR.
- Contribute to research and development (R&D) for new diagnostic tools, companion diagnostics, or biomarker discovery.
