The BIOS-BOFAS Travelling Fellowship program is jointly offered by the British Indian Orthopaedic Society (BIOS) and the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS). This is an annual orthopedic traveling fellowship program offered to eligible BOTA (British Orthopaedic Trainees Association) trainees, who are interested in visiting surgical centers in India. 

 

The program provides a grant of £1500, One grant each year. The suggested program duration is 2 to 4 weeks. The fellowship would be advertised by BOTA and suitable candidates would be chosen by representatives from BIOS and BOTA. The selected trainee is to present a fellowship report at the next BIOS annual meeting. The BIOS can help facilitate placement in India, based on the selected candidate‘s preference of specialty, city, etc.
