Overview
An Obstetric Sonographer is a specialized healthcare professional who performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations to monitor the health and development of the fetus and assess the mother’s reproductive organs during pregnancy.

Job Description
- Performs Obstetric Ultrasounds: Conducts routine and high-risk ultrasound scans to evaluate fetal growth, anatomy, position, and overall development throughout pregnancy.
- Assesses Maternal Structures: Examines the uterus, cervix, ovaries, and placenta to identify any complications or abnormalities.
- Collaborates with Physicians: Works closely with obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, and radiologists to interpret findings and support clinical decisions.
- Ensures Image Quality: Operates ultrasound equipment efficiently to capture clear, diagnostic-quality images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Documents and Reports Findings: Accurately records sonographic data and observations, and prepares preliminary reports for medical review.
- Supports Patient Care: Provides compassionate communication, explains procedures, and addresses patient concerns to reduce anxiety during examinations.
