Job Description
- Conduct blood typing and cross-matching to ensure transfusion safety.
- Identify and study antigens, antibodies, and blood group systems.
- Oversee the collection, testing, and storage of blood and blood products in blood banks.
- Diagnose and manage hemolytic disorders, such as hemolytic anemia and hemolytic disease of the newborn.
- Collaborate with clinicians to provide transfusion therapy recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards in blood banking and transfusion services.
- Participate in research related to immunohematology and transfusion medicine.
