Overview
The EBEORL-HNS examination demonstrate as a professional qualification with respect to experience and career progression in the field of Head and Neck Surgery. It was initiated by the European Union of Medical Specialties (UEMS), Otorhinolaryngology (ORL) Section in year 2008. The exam is based on the UEMS Glasgow declaration of February 2007 and is open to candidates from all over the world. The syllabus for the exam is the UEMS-ORL Section and Board European logbook. The exam consists of two parts, one is a written exam consisting of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs). Those who successfully pass part one, are only eligible to sit in part two which is an oral exam held yearly in Vienna. The exam pattern consists four questions from areas including otology-neurotology, rhinology and head and neck, Paediatric ENT, and Facial Plastics.
