Overview
The MPT in Musculoskeletal & Sports course is a two-year degree that allows students to learn about joint, muscle, and sports-related rehabilitation, developing expertise in the process. Students have the opportunity to study manual therapy, electrotherapy, therapeutic exercise, and orthopaedic assessment. Additionally, core research areas include sports injury prevention, biomechanics, and rehabilitation techniques. Because of clinical placements in sports clinics and hospitals, the management of sprains, fractures, tendinitis, and post-operative cases is made possible. However, the curriculum places a strong focus on outcome measurement, evidence-based practice, and research methodologies. Additionally, students study movement analysis, performance improvement techniques, and strength training. Coaching principles, sports psychology, and nutrition are examples of interdisciplinary modules. Graduates become highly qualified physiotherapists prepared to progress in private practice, rehabilitation facilities, or sports teams.
