A Burns & Trauma Reconstructive Surgeon is a specialist who treats patients with severe burns or traumatic injuries by restoring form and function through surgical reconstruction. They address both emergency wound care and long-term correction of scars, deformities, or functional impairments caused by burns, accidents, or other injuries.

Job Description
- Perform surgical reconstruction of soft tissues, skin, and underlying structures after burn injuries or trauma.
- Manage acute burn care, including debridement, skin grafting, and fluid resuscitation.
- Correct deformities and contractures caused by scarring or poorly healed wounds.
- Use advanced reconstructive techniques, such as flap surgery, skin substitutes, and microsurgery.
- Work closely with emergency, intensive care, and rehabilitation teams for comprehensive patient management.
- Provide long-term care for functional and aesthetic recovery, including multiple staged surgeries if needed.
- Support psychological and physical rehabilitation, helping patients regain mobility, appearance, and quality of life.
