Basic Course on Chronomedicine

An introductory certificate that investigates ways that circadian rhythm affects physiology, disease patterns, and the appearance of disease treatment outcomes. Basic chronobiology, sleep-wake cycles, hormonal rhythms, and administration of medications based on time will be covered. Students will learn clinical chronotherapeutics related to cancer chemotherapy, hypertensive illnesses and asthma. Research and diagnostics methods with a focus on actigraphy and phase markers are emphasized.
