Job Description
- Provide specialized nursing care for patients with kidney diseases and disorders, including chronic kidney disease, acute renal failure, and dialysis
- Monitor patients' vital signs, assess their condition, and administer medications as prescribed by the nephrologist
- Perform and assist with dialysis treatments, ensuring the equipment is functioning correctly and the patient is comfortable and safe
- Educate patients and their families about kidney health, treatment options, dietary restrictions, and lifestyle changes necessary to manage their condition
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nephrologists, dietitians, and social workers, to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting treatments, progress, and any changes in condition
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients coping with the psychological impact of kidney disease
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards related to nephrology nursing
