Fellowship in Neuro Oncology Surgery

The Fellowship in Neuro Oncology Surgery program is designed for practising neurosurgeons and neurosurgery resident doctors who want to explore their knowledge and skills into Neurological Oncosurgery aspects. Neuro Oncosurgery is a surgical subspecialty of a neurosurgery field. The curriculum is focused on clinical neuro-oncology, including primary brain tumors as well as neurological complications of cancer in outpatient and inpatient settings.

A fellowship in neuro-oncology is a training program designed for neurosurgeons and neurosurgery residents. 

It specializes professionals in the management of tumors and other neurological disorders.  

This program integrates three essential components of medical experience that include: 

• Hands-on surgical practice, as well as  
• Medical research and  
• Innovative treatment approaches. 

The neurosurgical oncology program is 6 months to 1 year, depending on the institution.  

To get enrolled in the fellowship training program, the following are the eligibility criteria: 

• MBBS followed by M.Ch./DNB in Neurosurgery or equivalent qualifications. 
• Candidates with experience in general surgery or oncology may be considered based on merit. 
• Registration with NMC/MCI is mandatory. 

The fellowship fee at admission is INR 25,000 - INR 35,000. This might vary across institutions.
