A team of central agencies and Uttar Pradesh drug department carried out a fresh inspection at Marion Biotech’s office a day after World Health Organization (WHO) issued a medical product alert on Ambronol and Dok-1 Max syrups. Noida-based Marion Biotech is allegedly linked with the deaths of children in Uzbekistan, the production license of the company has been suspended while test results of its controversial cough syrup are awaited.
