Job Description
- Maintain accurate records of medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals to ensure adequate stock levels
- Source and purchase medical supplies and equipment from approved vendors, adhering to budgetary guidelines and quality standards
- Organize storage areas to optimize space and accessibility; oversee distribution of supplies to various departments within the healthcare facility
- Monitor product expiry dates, ensure proper storage conditions, and manage returns or disposal of expired or damaged items
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including receipts, requisitions, and issue vouchers; ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Supervise store staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation; foster a cooperative and efficient working environment
- Develop and implement contingency plans for emergencies, ensuring uninterrupted supply of critical items
