Peru Declares Health Emergency Due to Dengue Outbreak!
28 Feb 2024

Peru has declared a health emergency in response to the rapidly increasing cases of dengue fever, with over 31,000 cases recorded in the first eight weeks of 2024, including 32 deaths. The emergency covers 20 of Peru's 25 regions, as the country battles high temperatures and heavy rains from the El Nino weather pattern, which have contributed to mosquito population growth.
