CUTTACK, 9 April, 2025 : The SCB College of Nursing, Cuttack, Odisha, successfully organized the International Nurses Week from 9th to 14th May 2025, celebrating the dedication and contributions of the nursing profession. The week-long event featured a range of academic and cultural programs conducted by nursing students and faculty. The closing ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including Honorable Chief Guest Mr. Prakash Chandra Sethi (MLA, Cuttack), Honorable Chief Speaker Dr. Shakti Prakash Mishra (Director of Nursing, Odisha), Prof. Dr. Lucy Das (Dean, SCB Medical College, Cuttack), Prof. Dr. Jayant Kumar Panda (HoD, Medicine, SCBMCH Cuttack), Dr. Mamata Acharya (Principal, SCB College of Nursing, Cuttack), and Dr. Sandip Patel (Founder & CEO, Docthub). Dr. Patel delivered an insightful seminar on "Future Trends of Nursing Career," where he discussed emerging opportunities in specialty nursing fields, the potential for independent healthcare consulting, and new-age roles such as Telehealth Nursing and Nursing Informatics. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 600 nursing students and faculty members, who gained valuable insights into the evolving landscape of the nursing profession in the digital era.
