From Recruitment to Career Platform: Docthub 2020 Pivot story

Docthub was established in 2017 as a doctor recruitment agency in Rajkot, Gujarat. After five years of working in the healthcare management field, Dr. Sandip Patel identified a market gap in the healthcare recruitment space. Driven by the desire to connect with young medical professionals, Dr. Patel launched a website that featured admission data for medical courses, postgraduate seats, and closing merits across India. This unique data mining initiative, which was unavailable elsewhere on the internet, attracted organic traffic as NEET-PG aspirants searched for information during medical admission counseling.

In August 2018, Docthub introduced its first internet product, "Counselling," to cater to this audience. However, the website traffic proved inconsistent, peaking only during the 2-3 months of medical course admissions each year. Over time, Dr. Patel gained valuable insights into building healthcare careers and practice upgrade solutions. Consequently, he decided to discontinue the Counselling product in October 2020 and shifted the company's head office from Rajkot to Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This strategic pivot transformed Docthub into a comprehensive healthcare career technology platform.
