Amid a severe heatwave in Delhi, the government has ordered all private and government-aided schools to close for summer vacation immediately. Due to a rise in temperature in Delhi, govt. extends the summer break from May 11 to June 30. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city will experience an exceptionally hot summer this year, with the highest recorded temperature at 44.4 degrees Celsius.
