Under the “Jan Aushadhi” scheme by the Center Government, the Maharashtra state government has decided to start opening medical shops on the campus of government hospitals run by the public health department. In February “The National Federation of Farmers” Procurement and Processing and Retailing Cooperatives of India Ltd. (NACOF) was appointed to open generic medicines stores in hospitals run by urban bodies. The public health department issued an order on Monday to appoint the “NACOF” to open 24X7 generic medicine stores on the campus of government hospitals across the state.
