Delhi has overtaken Lahore as the world's most polluted city. With an average AQI of 494, it is in the "severe plus" category. The toxic smog, caused by trapped emissions, farm fires, and stagnant winter air, has severely impacted visibility, diverted flights, and increased respiratory and cardiovascular ailments. Despite GRAP-IV measures, the pollution crisis has worsened, prompting hospitals to report a spike in health cases, schools to take online classes, and businesses to adopt remote work options.
